The Humboldt Seed Organization is a company based in Humboldt County, California. The seed bank was founded in 2001 by Nathaniel Pennington and brings together various collectives and breeders. Overall, the organization has a huge pool of different genetics and is constantly expanding it.

The Humboldt Seed Organization is active in over 50 countries and represented in thousands of stores. Its European branch was organized in the Basque La Mota collective until 2021, but was then closed by the authorities. Since then, the branch has been based in Austria.
