When professionals like the breeders at the
Humboldt Seed Organization set their sights on crossing two OGs to guarantee unique flavor and grow characteristics, the result is a solid and complex strain like
Banana Sapphire. The in-house
Sapphire OG, with its rigorous growth and gassy diesel terpenes, was crossed with the original
Banana OG Cut, which is rumored to originate from a small grow community in Oregon and, as the name suggests, shines with ultra-fruity flavors. Thanks to the know-how of Humboldt Seeds, this strain has inherited the immense growth and yield potential of its parents and thus convinces in almost any environment with solid yields, beautiful buds and incomparable fruity flavors.
Banana Sapphire is not only a true gem in any seed collection but also a guarantor for consistently convincing results. This potent OG weed has an average flowering time of 60-63 days and grows between 100 and 130 cm tall with a slightly above average stretch indoors. Outdoors, it can grow up to 4.5m tall - but only in areas with massive amounts of sun and long summers. Whether indoors or outdoors, this 75% indica-dominant strain produces impressive yields of up to 550g/m² in indoor grows in a manageable amount of time. Outdoors, bombastic harvests of over 5kg per plant have been reported. The harvest can be started in the first two weeks of October (northern hemisphere). The strain is thus well suited for outdoor use even in colder to temperate climates.
With its consistently high THC content of around 25%, Banana Sapphire is quite something to behold and puts even more experienced connoisseurs in a pleasantly relaxed state that can easily last a few hours and has already sweetened the evening. Because this is really the main strength of this strain: It's incredibly gassy-fruity flavor with notes of diesel, sweet tropical mango and of course the eponymous banana. If your mouth is still not watering, there is nothing we can do to help you.
