Velvet Moon is the name of a Greenhouse Seeds cross between the infamous US strain Do Si Dos and Holy Punch. The feminized cannabis seeds have a composition of about 40 percent sativa and 60 percent indica, thus the weed provides a body-stoned stoney high.

 

The Velvet Moon strain is suitable for both outdoor and indoor cultivation. The flowering time is 8-9 weeks and the harvest for outdoor growers starts in early October - depending on the region still good for growing in not so long summers. The strain has a moderate stretch and the stable and robust plants do not need any supporting tools. While indoors a very high yield of 700-800 g/m2 is possible, outdoors up to 700 g/plant can be achieved.

 

Velvet Moon's buds are large and rounded. They also combine elements of the parent strains in appearance. While Holy Punch is form-giving, Do Si Dos is mainly responsible for the high density of the buds as well as the resin production of the plant. Color-wise, the buds range between light green and purple, but can also take on complete, delicate lavender-purple. The smell of the buds is strong and sweet, resembling the sweet taste, but still containing citrus notes, making the sweet and sour combination perfect.
