Kushi Melon

To breed Kushi Melon, Karma Genetics crossed "Hells Angel OG", a legendary OG strain from California, with the in-house strain "Melon". The result is magnificent plants that are much easier to grow compared to the classic OG Kush. However, the flower structure of the plants is not quite uniform. For example, there are Kushi Melon plants that have particularly compact, medium-sized buds, while others develop extremely large buds that are somewhat less compact. Regardless of bud size, the plants usually develop rather large fan leaves that are great to look at.

 

Since both parent strains are indica-dominant hybrids, the effect of Kushi Melon is characterized by a pleasant body stoned. However, it may take some time after consumption for the soothing effect to fully unfold and a pleasant feeling of relaxation to spread throughout the body. With a THC content of over 20%, this effect lasts a relatively long time and subsides only slowly. Many users report that smoking also relieved headaches and the relaxation of muscle tension. Thus, Kushi Melon Weed is perfect for spending the day chilling on the couch and still falling asleep easily afterwards. 

 

When smoking Kushi Melon Weed, one first tastes the tart lemon flavor of Hells Angel OG with a slightly earthy background, which is then replaced by a sweet note of ripe melon in the finish. Thus, the terpene profile of Kushi Melon is quite varied. So, this strain will please any grower who has a preference for weed with sweet and sour aromas and also likes Kush strains.

 

Growing Kushi Melon is less complicated than growing classic OG Kush strains. Thus, this strain is also well suited for relatively inexperienced growers and can be grown indoors or outdoors. The plants like to grow a bit bigger and have a medium to high stretch. So it is not uncommon that they crack the 1.20m mark during flowering, unless you send them with a size of less than 20 cm into flowering. For indoor growers, the expected yield after a flowering period of 9 to 10 weeks is good at about 550 grams per m². If you decide to grow outdoors, you will get plants of about 230 cm in height and can harvest about 600 grams of the sweet and sour and earthy smelling buds per plant in early October.
