Afghanica is an Afghan landrace that originally grew in the valleys just below 1000m. The compact plants are robust, with a fine, typical Afghan aroma and special characteristics that make them ideal for hashish production, as they have extremely resinous buds. Growers love this strain as a base for new Indica creations or simply for its special Afghan flavour and effect.
This strain is ideal for the novice grower due to its high resistance to mould and pests. Plants will grow between 140 and 180cm outdoors and between 90 and 100cm indoors. The strain is excellent for growing techniques such as SOG as it has few side shoots. Yields can be expected to be as high as 600g per m2 indoors and 600 to 700g per plant outdoors. The flowering period rarely exceeds 8 weeks. Thanks to its adaptation to cold climates and high altitudes, it can be harvested by the end of September when grown outdoors, making it very suitable for regions with shorter summers, such as Germany. Or Switzerland.
Afghanica is 100% Indica and has a THC content of up to 25%. This makes it good for relaxation and guaranteed to help you fall asleep. After smoking, a deep calm flows through your body, bringing your mind into harmony.
There is something heavy about the flavour of this strain. Earthy terpenes form a broad base, complemented and lightened by fresh, floral aromas. Overall, the plant exudes a heavy hashy aroma that is rather subtle and unobtrusive compared to many other strains.
